Mugshot of Joseph Martinskie, also known as Joe Smith, who was arrested for the larceny of watches. He is shown wearing a white shirt and a jacket. Further research shows he gained entry into homes by claiming to be deaf and mute. He was sentenced to Huntington Reformatory.

Mugshot of Robert Hand, age 20, who is charged with burglary of the Jersey Central ticket office. He also went by the name of Devil Hand. Born in Scranton, Pa., he worked as a printer. It is noted that his finger nail of his right index finger is cut off and that his sister is Mrs. Banster in Buffalo, New York. He was arrested by Thomas Gemmell on March 15, 1904. Further research shows that he was found not guilty.

Mugshot of John Sopkey, age 18, who was charged with larceny of brass. Born in Pennsylvania, he worked as a laborer. It is noted that there is a small scar on the base of his right hand. On April 9, 1904, he was arrested by Thomas Connery. Further research shows that the papers list his name as John Starkey. It also states that he gave the brass to a junk dealer.

Mugshot of John McDermott, also known as John Thomas, who was arrested for burglary and larceny. He was arrested on April 10, 1904. Further research shows he broke into a store and stole fifteen dollars. McDermott was sentenced to the county jail for nine months.

On May 14, 1904 he was arrested by Robert Dieter. Further research shows he stole items from his father's house and robbed more locations. He pled guilty to the charges.

Mugshot of Charles Sower, age 28, who was arrested for larceny of chickens. Born in Scranton, Pa., he worked as a miner. It is noted that he has the letters "CS" and "CA" tattooed on his left wrist. Sower also has a star, anchor, and heart tattooed on his right arm and a pair of legs on his left arm. On March 24, 1904, he was arrested by Webber and Quinnan.

Mugshot of William Palmer, age 38, who was arrested for one count of burglary and two counts of larceny. He was born in Dickson City, Pa, and worked as a barber. It is noted that his left little finger was broken at the first joint and that he has a heavy light colored eyebrows. On July 7th, 1904, he was arrested by Dieter and D. J. Davis. Further research shows that he had stolen money, an alarm clock, Sons of Veteran badge, and a watch.

Mugshot of John Rothgaber, age 34, who was arrested for vagrancy and burglary. Born in York, Pa, he was employed as an iron worker. It is noted that he had previously served two terms in Eastern State Pennitenary. He has an eagle tattooed on his left forearm. The enblem of the knights of labor and the letters "JR" are tattooed on his right forearm. On July 16, 1904, he was arrested by Stevens.

Mugshot of Fred Foin, age 26, who was arrested for vagrancy and highway robbery. Born in Scranton, Pa, he worked as a laborer. It is noted that he had a tattoo of clasped hands, a heart, an eagle, and a flag on his right forearm. A man and woman's heads with the initials "F.F." was tattooed on his left forearm. On July 31, 1904, he was arrested by Thomas Gimmell. Further research shows that he may have robbed Tony Peddro.

It is noted that he has his own name tattoed on his left forearm and an anchor on the back of right arm. On August 19, 1904, he was arrested by Robert H. Dieter. Further research shows that he worked with Frank Gould to steal the bicycles from stores and private residences.
