The inscription: "Republique Francaise" is inscribed in the middle circle of the star. There is a crown of laurels that joins the cross and the ribbon. Typescript letter (copy). The French ambassador to the United States, J.J. Jusserand, writes to W.J. Holland confirming the acceptance, by French President Fallie?res, of Andrew Carnegie's gift of a Diplodocus reproduction to the Muse?um national d'histoire naturelle in Paris. He instructs Holland to deal directly with the museum's director concerning the installation.

Andrew Carnegie donated money for the Peace Palace. Includes buildings that house the Permanent Court of Arbitration, International Court of Arbitration and the Peace Palace Library. The reverse side bears the inscription in French: "Au nom de 5 millions de femmes au bienfaiteur de la paix mondiale, Andrew Carnegie, pour l'inauguration du Palais de la Paix a la Haye, 30 juillet, 1907."
