A photograph of a button and medal for the rank of Commander, from the Legion d'honneur, France. The medal is a metallic wreath with a five sided double pointed star laying over it, the portrait in the middle of a circle in the middle of the cross is of Marianne's head (She is a national emblem of France that personifies liberty and reason). The inscription: "Republique Francaise" is inscribed in the middle circle of the star. There is a crown of laurels that joins the cross and the ribbon. The button is covered in cloth with an indented design. Caption title.; On cardboard mount: 36 x 26 cm
