Ledgers A and AA, 1775-1788, This Digital Object is provided in a collection that is included in POWER LIBRARY: Pennsylvania Photos and Documents, which is funded by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries of Pennsylvania/Pennsylvania Department of Education., A record relating to the payment and settlement of public money, kept for the purpose of auditing, liquidating and adjusting Commonwealth accounts. Although the ledgers record transactions dating form 1775-1788, they were most likely created between 1790 and 1792 to aid in auditing. Types of accounts represented include general expenditures and revenues, taxes, fines, and transactions of county officials. Information given for each transaction includes name of account, amount paid or received, page number of the corresponding entry in RG/004/26- Journals AAA, 1775-1790, and what is probably the number of a related warrant which no longer exists.
