Old wooden dam on the Conewango Creek (just below Beaty Junior High School, where concrete dam is now) circa 1910. The church at left is the 1911 St. Paul's Lutheran which burned in 1915 and was immediately replaced by a new structure sold to the Warren Players as a theatre in 1971. It is now (2004) privately owned and being rehabilitated for use as a house. Beyond, upstream, is the Third Avenue bridge.

The southeast corner of Pennsylvania Avenue ( then 440 Water Street) and Liberty Street, in 1899 the site of the bridge across the millrace at Liberty (across the race is part of the Piso building). Shops in the two wooden buildings are left, Kirberger's wagon shop, and Spinner hardware.

Central and Union schools, northeast corner of Third Avenue and Hickory Street, circa 1890. Central, at left, was added in 1871 to the older Union building, built in 1854 and razed in 1900. Central was home to high school students until construction of Warren High School in 1897 but continued in use as an elementary school until razed in 1936 to make way for a new municipal building.

The Cornplanter Hotel in Irvine, Pennsylvania (razed in 1920) opened in 1841. It was one of many stone structures erected by Dr. William Irvine in the village bearing his name. Stone from the hotel, which stood just east of the Brokenstraw Creek on old route 6, was used by Hugh Siggins to build an addition to an old farmhouse in Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania, about 1950.

Cutting one of the suspension bridge cable sets on the south side in 1918. Cables were fastened to ""deadmen"" underground, passing through large stone structures on the surface. (These structures were not used on Pennsylvania Avenue, on the north end of the bridge.)

Dunkirk, Allegheny Valley & Pittsburgh passenger depot, at the northwest corner of Laurel Street and Fourth Avenue, demolished after passenger service ceased in 1937. Original station was at Beech Street and Fourth Avenue (1871), later occupied by New York Central Freight Depot. This earlier, enlarged depot remains as a privately-owned warehouse in 2004.

Dave Bairstow, circa 1886 (born 1882 or 1883). The view is to the northeast across the Conewango Creek towards the Branch stone quarry above Jackson Street. The quarry is visible along the barn roof at center. David Bairstow (died 1968) was the second-generation owner of the Bairstow photographic studio in Warren.

David Beaty's mansion on Conewango Avenue near Fifth Avenue in 1875. It was built in 1873. In 1939 the entire front section of the house was removed and the remainder remodeled with standard pitched roofs replacing mansard.

The Dr. William V. Hazeltine/Floridin building, east side of Liberty Street (site of the Spiridon building), ca 1885. It housed numerous tenants over the years including Conewango Building and Loan, Warren Trust Company, the Floridin Company, and Logan's Men's Wear, as well as apartment renters. Built in 1875, it was razed in 1969.
