Portrait, head and shoulders of "Aunt" Mary Haist Blair. On reverse: "Mary Blair was Christ Haist's sister. She and her husband operated store in Duboistown at Valley & Brook (site of laundromat) during lumbering days." Christ Haist was a lumberman and a superintendent of the Susquehanna Boom Company. Mary and John Blair were the parents of Jessie Blair.

The stone building in the foreground is Warren's second city lock-up, replacing an earlier frame building on the other side of the suspension bridge. The 1918 concrete Hickory Street bridge crossed the river at the site of the stone jail.

The Andrew Ludlow building, northeast corner of Liberty Street and Second Avenue in 1875 or slightly later. This early business block was replaced in turn by the Hoffman building (1883) and the Kresge building (1929), now (2004) the Liberty Street Marketplace. The spire in the background topped Warren's second First Presbyterian Church building (on the site of the first on Market Street). It was built in 1866.
