About This Collection

This office was responsible for disseminating information and educating the public concerning forestry and forests in the Commonwealth. It produced bulletins, circulars, leaflets, maps, and other publications to that end, as well as held conferences and lectures. This collection contains publications and reports produced by the Department of Forestry. Bulletins, Circulars, pamphlets, proceedings of conferences and conventions, Department statistics, and a Fire Warden Manual are present. Specific titles include: Bulletin No. 24, "Report of Conference of Wood-using Industries," May 1922; Circular No. 27, What Forest Protection has Accomplished in Pennsylvania," December 1924; Stenographic Report of Proceedings of the Fifth Annual Convention of Pennsylvania Foresters, 1912; etc.
