In most cases the name of the official responsible for carrying out the sentence is also given and occasionally present are clemency petitions and trial transcripts. Included are case files relating to a number of alleged members of the Molly Maguires, a secret labor organization of Irish-American anthracite coal miners that was active in northeastern Pennsylvania from 1865-1875.
