Record of charges incurred for running a road from the back settlements toward the Ohio River for the King's use in pursuance to the application from General Edward Braddock. The purpose of the road was to launch a military expedition against the French occupation of the Ohio River Valley. Information provided is name of person receiving payment, name of person for whom the payment was received and amount of payment. Images are arranged chronologically by date of entry. These records were created under an early government structure of Pennsylvania.
