Microfilm roll 3546 depicts the record book of the Collector of Provincial Excise Tax Arthur Patterson for Lancaster County for the years 1747 and 1748. This excise tax was collected on wine, rum, brandy and other spirits under the provisions of an Act passed on May 26, 1744. Information provided is date excise was collected, amount collected, and name of person from whom collected. The book also contains notations regarding cider payments made in 1766 and 1767.
