In addition to the loose documents, the correspondence covering 1861-1866, includes the Curtin letter books, two volumes of gubernatorial correspondence, both incoming and outgoing, focusing on military matters. Correspondents include Simon Cameron, Edwin Stanton, and Abraham Lincoln. An unpublished descriptive inventory and index for the Curtin letter books are available in the Pennsylvania State Archives Search Room.
