Transcripts of manifests prepared by the captains of domestic slave ships providing the gender, age, height, class or race, and place of residence of the slaves transported as well as the name of the shipper or owner. Two ships, the Schooner Phoebe and the schooner Prudence, are included that arrived from foreign ports bringing slaves directly from Africa.
