The military organizations whose members are here enumerated comprised the entire 3d brigade of Maryland militia under Gen. John Strickler with a few other troops; and were nearly all from Baltimore city. They include all the American forces at the battle of North Point, and the Maryland contingent at Fort McHenry. Company H was formed from a previously existing cavalry organization of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, known as the Big Spring Adamantine Guards

Organized at Philadelphia for 100 days July, 1864

Also known as "Rush's Lancers" ; Officers and enlisted men who died 1861-1865: p. 31-37

Organized August 9, 1862 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the company fought in the Battle of Chancellorsville, Battle of Gettysburg, Battle of Cold Harbor and the Sieges of Richmond and Petersburg.
