The compilation and construction of the maps contained in this atlas, was executed during the years 1907 and 1908 under the general supervision of J. Sutton Wall, chief draftsman & surveyor of the Department of Internal Affairs, by William A. Moore, assistant chief draftsman and surveyor in charge of the warrantee mapwork of Lawrence County and George W. Muse, George S. Canning, William H. Horner, Charles F. Chidsey, Jr., George W. Rhoads, Charles L. Yoder, William G. Showman, John O. Jackson, Thomas L. Hobart, Benjamin F. Africa, draftsman. The volume includes a historical sketch of original land titles in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania by George W. Muse.
