This collection consists of documentation related to the Philadelphia Flower Show from 1829 to the present including tickets, advertisements, posters and high-quality photographs to exhibits and promotional events. Some of the images include buildings that no longer exist, such as Philadelphia's Commercial Museum and Civic Center.

The theme for the 2008 Philadelphia Flower Show was “Jazz it Up,” focusing on the gardens, music, and culture of New Orleans. Coming three years after Hurricane Katrina, the show provided an opportunity to help promote tourism to New Orleans, and PHS invited the city’s tourism board to exhibit in the marketplace. Live entertainment on the Bourbon Street stage featured Big Sam’s Funky Nation from New Orleans, and pictured here, the Camden City Brass Band.
