In 2006, the theme of the show was “Enchanted Spring … A Tribute to Mother Nature.” The Central Feature exhibit featured a towering figure—25 feet high and 60 feet long—called Natura, constructed from foam, flowers, trees, shrubs, and grass. Surrounding her were elaborate floral creations by Life 3, an international team of renowned floral designers.

The 2008 Flower Show theme was “Jazz it Up!” as shown in this shot of the Central Feature, which included a performance stage for musicians to do just that. Visitors enter the show by walking under an archway of floating piano keys and vibrant cut flowers. The musician is playing on the Chihuly Steinway, designed by master American glass sculptor Dale Chihuly with a lime green exterior, and neon yellow and orange keys.

The 2010 Philadelphia Flower Show presented a global tour with the theme “Passport to the World.” Showcasing the plants and garden design of Brazil, India, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, and the United States, this show was truly international. A World Bazaar offered visitors the chance to buy products from the featured countries.

After nearly three decades as president of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, Jane G. Pepper retired in 2010 and was honored with an exhibit at that year’s show. The garden, created by volunteers and show exhibitors, featured Pepper’s many passions and gave a nod to her native Scotland.
