Probably the Edwin W. Siegfried store in the Johnson Exchange building in the 1890s, southeast corner of Liberty Street and Second Avenue. The building burned on December 23, 1900. This store located at 225 Second Avenue. Buildings replacing the burned structure housed Metzger-Wright, Levinson Brothers, and Janick's department stores and are now (2004) the location of offices of Northwest Savings Bank.

View west from the tower of the Warren Savings Bank circa 1890. Center, John Sill Insurance. Two lumber rafts and at least seven square-timber rafts lie in the eddy awaiting higher water. By this time most of downtown Warren's business district was built of brick, and very few rafts left Warren County streams.

A view circa 1890 to the south side fairgrounds (site of Warren General Hospital). In the distance are the Philadelphia & Erie Railroad covered bridge and the Struthers-Wells buildings. Several square-timber rafts are moored in the eddy below Pennsylvania Avenue just west of Hickory Street. The water stage is very low.
