Photographs of New Cumberland during the Flood of 1936 which occurred March 18-20, 1936 when warmer weather caused the winter's heavy accumulation of snow and ice to melt. Situated along the banks of the Susquehanna River and bordered by the Yellow Breeches Creek, New Cumberland experienced extensive flooding from the east and the south.
