Portrait of Angela Kyte, Class of 1973, and a casualty of the World Trade Center disaster. Angela not only served as president of the Alumni Association Executive Board, but was also a trustee of the college. A service of remembrance, held in her honor in Boonton, N.J., on September 27th brought together many in the Lycoming community. Mrs. Kyte was a big advocate of education.

Dr. Ramon F. Dacheux, Class of '69, is pictured here with Dr. Robert Angstadt, professor of biology, during a 2001 visit to Lycoming College. During his visit, Dr. Dacheux was a guest speaker at the 14th Annual Biology/Chemistry Homecoming Seminar. At the time, Dr. Dacheux was a professor of opthalmology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Ramon Dacheux graduated from Lycoming College in 1969 with a B.A. in Biology. At Lycoming, Dr. Dacheux studied the imprinting of domestic fowl under the supervision of his mentor, Dr. Angstadt, who was an assistant professor of biology. A look at the Lycoming College yearbook The Arrow shows that during his years at Lycoming College, Dr. Dacheux was a member of the wrestling team, the football team, and a member of Theta Chi fraternity. Dr. Dacheux passed away May 30, 2006. A memoriam by Robert F. Miller and Elio Raviola, outlining Dr. Dacheux's extensive academic background and contributions to the field of opthalmology, is located in the Lycoming College Archives in Snowden Library.

Individual portrait from a fraternity composite of Jon C. Vandevander, Class of 1979, who was killed in the World Trade Center disaster. He was a vice president of Carr Futures, a foreign currency trading firm with an office on the 92nd floor of Tower One. He was captain of the soccer team his senior year at Lycoming. In Ridgewood, NJ, where he later resided, he was president of the Ridgewood Junior Football Association. He is survived by a wife and three children.

John Detwiler, Acting President of Lycoming College presents the Lycoming College Award of Distinction to Katherine Forrest Mathers '28. Parts of the citation read: 'You entered Williamsport Dickinson Seminary in September, 1926, and graduated with the Class of 1928. Your education was continued at Bucknell University where you earned the A.B. degree in 1932 and the Master of Arts degree in 1933. On Christmas Day, 1941, you became the bride of James M. Mathers and together you developed a successful insurance business in Altoona … you continued to manage the business while your husband was on duty during World War II, and after his untimely death several years later … Your concern for the College and your generosity prompted you to establish a memorial honoring your parents and your sister, Anna, who graduated from the Seminary in 1930. This memorial is our newest women's dormitory, Forrest Hall ...' John G. Detwiler, Acting President of the College.

According to the December 1985 issue of the Lycoming Quarterly, "Mary Landon Russell was honored for her 50 years of 'golden Music service' at Lycoming College" during an anniversary recital deld during Homecoming festivities.
