Darling, Just had time to call Muz before getting on the 6:30, after bucking subway crowds all the way - She is coming to see you Monday night - I will mail a card to Mrs. Couture at the station in Washington, asking her to forward all mail thru Saturday's, and water plants - did not get anymore Tribunes. Between Baltimore and DC. Hi, honey - almost there and I'm now considering how and when to buy cigars at this hour (Wash. stores close rather early) Am still absorbed in The Seventh Cross - will finish it on the next trip up. Postcards aren't very inspiring but you'll probably get another before the first letter still arrives, just to let you know at least that I'm thinking of my very own family! W.

4643 Navy Bldg - Ens. WR Johnston USNR Thurs 9:30 Well, I found some cards I thought appropriate - they came with choice of 3 colors of ribbon, the third being white. Because these looked just as apt for the occasion as pink or blue it seemed to me a happy compromise for convenience's sake and I had them set aside 100 till Monday. See you soon, darling W.
