The Alumni Gymnasium was built in 1903. The main floor held a large open space for exercise and practice. The 2nd floor had a track on which twenty-six laps equalled one mile. The basement had lockers and showers. In 1934 the building burned down.

The Alumni Gymnasium was built in 1903. The basement held lockers and showers. Having showers that would not freeze you with ice cold water was a very pleasant and luxurious experience compared to the old ways of bathing as discussed in the 1905 Lanthorn short article "The Bath Room".

With the expansion of the science curriculum, the Charles Steele Science Hall was built, replacing the old science building, Sell Memorial Laboratory.

The Conservatory of Music building was the former home of 5th President Jonathan Dimm. After Dimm's death in 1920, Susquehanna University purchased the building which remained the Conservatory Building until 1958. It was demolished in 1959.

Hassinger Memorial Hall was built in 1922 as a men's dormitory. Its name recognizes the contribution of Martin Hassinger, a Board member from Middleburg, PA, and subsequent contributions from his family after his death. In the background of the photo is the Warner Athletic field and the Power Plant.

Pine Lawn, the President's House, was built in 1928. It replaced the house on that site that had been built by Henry Ziegler, the Institute's 2nd President, in 1859. The first President to live at Pine Lawn was G.Morris Smith, who served as President from 1928-1959.

The groundbreaking for Seibert Memorial Hall was held on September 25, 1901. The Hall was named for Samuel Seibert of Hagerstown, Maryland. The student newspaper reported that all of the school's coeds participated in turning soil at the groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate that the building would serve as the women's dormitory. Seibert Hall also held social parlors, an art room, and a recital hall. The Hall was equipped for electricity which was turned on in 1907 when the town's electrical plant began to operate. The tennis courts in front of Seibert's lawn were built in 1904.

Susquehanna University Library was built in 1928. The front door faced north towards University Ave. Previously, the library collection was located on the second floor of Gustavus Adolphus Hall. The original Missionary Institute Library was established in 1865, when the Institute inherited its founder Benjamin Kurtz's book collections.
