The Men's Student Council started the first Student Handbook in 1925. This page from the 1930 Handbook lists the general rules for all male students. For example, rule number three states that men were not allowed to smoke anywhere on campus except in the men's dormitories.

This page from the 1930 Student Handbook gives the dormitory regulations for women. Notice under Hours of Return that a woman student had to return from the Library by 10 pm. Also, under Special Permission, a woman student had to have permission from the Dean of Women to go for a ride in an automobile or to consult a physician!
