The first Professional Development day was sponsored by the Sigmund Weis School of Business Women of Weis Mentor Program and was held on September 24, 1995. Students, mentors, faculty and staff attended lectures on strategies for getting a job and preparing for a professional position.

Under the direction of coach Mike Falat, a women's rugby football team was established at Susquehanna in 1997.

The Susquehanna University women's soccer team began its first season as a varsity sport in 1994. Prior to this it held club team status. The team was coached by Kwame Lloyd, a 1993 graduate of SU.
