This 1998 image shows the site preparation for Apfelbaum Hall, the new business and communications building. Previously, this area had been the home of three cottages built in the late 1860s to house married theology students.

Homecoming 1999 served as the setting for the groundbreaking ceremony for the Nicholas A. Lopardo Stadium. Lopardo, a 1968 graduate of the University who later chaired the Board of Trustees, appears in the center of this group. The stadium would hold seating for 3,500 spectators, a concession stand, press box and an eight lane, quarter mile track. Lights would be installed in 2002, permitting night games to be played for the first time.

In 1992, Hurricane Andrew became the second most powerful hurricane in history. In response to the destruction, the student group S.H.A.R.E ( Susquehanna Hurricane Andrew Relief Expedition) led by Chaplain Thomforde, visited the hard hit city of Homestead Florida. The group spent seven days helping to build temporary housing. The group completed one house and started work on three others.
