The Crew Club Team was recognized as an official sport in November 1986. With a generous gift from the SGA as well as proceeds from a row-a-thon, the club planned to be on the water and racing in the spring of 1987. The happy announcement and an invitation for new members appeared in the Crusader newspaper.

The Cycling Club was established in 1986. The group's activities included group rides as well as participation in races in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. The group's membership is shown in this 1987 yearbook photo.

The 1983 Crusaders football team was the first undefeated team since 1962, and the first MAC champion since 1970.

The Frisbee Club was formed at Susquehanna University as an alternative to traditional sports in 1981. The club would meet with other universities in the area to play ultimate frisbee.

In 1930, under the direction of Luther Grossman, Director of Physical Education, tees and greens for a six-hole golf course were put into place on the athletic field. Students were able to borrow clubs and play a round of golf. Golf would later become an intercollegiate sport and Susquehanna's first golf team was established in 1986. Members from this team are shown posing for their yearbook photo.

The Ice Hockey Club was open to anyone who was interested in the fundamentals of ice hockey and enjoyed playing the "world's fastest sport". The group participated in leagues and made road trips to compete with other colleges. The club smiles for the camera in this 1988 Lanthorne photo.

The Racquetball Club was established in 1982. Games were played on regulation size courts, and clinics and tournaments were held to help students hone their skills. The club gave students an opportunity to participate in a sport that might otherwise be out of their reach financially.
