A program detailing all of the events of Orientation Week is given to incoming freshmen and transfer students. The cover of the 1981 orientation program, celebrating Susquehanna University's 125th year, was designed by Bill Weiser, class of 1982. The cartoon figure was also used on t-shirts, the Freshmen Shield, and the Parent Handbook.

Under the direction of Dr. Robert L. Bradford, the summer study program in Oxford, England provided students with a six week course of study in the humanities, social sciences, business and economics. It had been offered on a biennial basis since its inception in 1966 but in 1982, due to high demand, the program became an annual opportunity.

Seen here are the 1985 members of the Panhellenic Council. The main purpose of the Council was to maintain healthy inter-sorority relationships. Monthly meetings were held to answer questions and resolve problems. The Council also sponsored a number of social functions.

A free public performance of George Sand Aujourd'hui, a drama of the life of the 19th Century feminist and writer took place April 9, 1987 in Seibert Hall. The presentation was done by French group Theatre Poeme. Susquehanna University was the only Pennsylvania school on the group's national tour.

Easter parties for underprivileged children, assisting with the Christmas Seal campaign and dances to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy are just some of the programs and events sponsored by the fraternity. The fraternity Phi Sigma Kappa was colonized in 1969 and joined the national fraternity in 1973. The fraternity's colors were silver and magenta and its motto was "Brotherhood, scholarship, charter." This image shows the Phi Sigma Kappa brotherhood in 1985.
