The age old problem of campus parking! The 1960s saw a large increase in the student body and with it a boom in campus cars which put parking spaces at a premium. This photo shows a campus parking lot during Orientation Week, 1964.

Sigma Kappa was a social sorority formed at Susquehanna University in December 1963. The group jumped right into Greek life at the University by participating in quite a few campus activities. Shown in this image are the founding members of Sigma Kappa.

In 1968 William "Bill" Lewis Jr., a Political Science major, was the first African American to graduate from Susquehanna University. He would later return to the University in 1986, to serve as a member of the Board of Directors. He remains on the board as of 2009. During his time at Susquehanna, he was involved in many activities. These wide-ranging activities included intramurals, Football, Phi Mu Delta fraternity, Student Counselor, Student Senate, JIFC President, Assistant Head Resident, Leadership Conference, Honor Code Committee, Constitution Revision Committee and Sophomore Tribunal Co-Chairman.
