In the fall of 1969, a number of Susquehanna University faculty and students participated in a march on Washington calling for an end to the war in Vietnam. This was one of many protests during the later years of the war.

The Radio Club was formed in 1961 and operated through the Military Affiliated Radio Service. With the help of a 500 watt transmitter, the club could transmit signals around the world from its location at 580 University Avenue.

As Susquehanna continued its growth, student housing became a priority. Smith Hall, a new dormitory, was dedicated in 1961. Shown in this image is one of the new dorm rooms. Bogar Hall can be seen in the background.

The original Lambda Chi Alpha, formerly Bond and Key, fraternity house was located at 309 University Avenue. In 1961, the fraternity sold the house and built a new residence next to rival fraternity Theta Chi. Shown from left at the 309 University Ave address in 1958 are Lambda Chi Alpha members T. Pupo, F. Anderson returned to Susquehanna as the Assistant Dean of Women and would retire in 2001 as the Dean of Student Life after 39 years of service.

The rise of hemlines in the 1960s brought with it the one piece pantyhose. Stockings were replaced as the leg wear of choice among college co-eds by pantyhose in various colors and patterns.

In 1968, the Susquehanna Players began rehearsal for the protest play "Viet Rock" as shown in this image. The play was performed in the Benjamin Apple Theater in Bogar Hall in January 1969. The bold language and sexual references in the play made it a must-see event on campus.
