The Business Society was organized in 1925. Students with business administration or commercial education majors were eligible for membership. It held monthly meetings and sponsored lectures on subjects concerning business.

"Play Day" was started in 1930 by the Women's Athletic Association. One day out of the year a competition between schools was held among its women's students in intercollegiate athletics. Afterwards tea, dinner and athletic discussions were held.

At the begining of the war era of World War II student life still seemed to remain the same. An example of this can be seen from the pages of the 1942 Lanthorn with the success of the sophomore hop.
