In the fall of 2008, construction began on the University's $33 million science building. The "green" design featured recycled materials in the construction, a roof top green house, water-reduction capabilities and energy-efficient HVAC systems. As part of the "Changing Lives, Building Futures" campaign, donors were able to support the "green" construction of the building through various pedges and donations.

Sigma Gamma Rho was started at Susquehanna University in 2007. The group's slogan is "Greater Service, Greater Progress." This photo shows the Sigma Gamma Rho sisters volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House on Martin Luther King Day in 2008.
