To celebrate Susquehanna University's 150th year a 300-pound cake, measuring four feet wide and seven feet long and ample enough to feed 1,500 people, was served at the Market Street Festival in downtown Selinsgrove. The cake was made with 6,000 eggs, 300 pounds of flour, 200 pounds of sugar, 100 pounds of butter, 80 gallons of milk and 32.5 cups of vanilla. The cake was created by ARAMARK, the University's food service provider. In this photo, we see University president, Jay Lemons, with ARAMARK staff members who made the cake.

This photo shows the shovels that would be used at the August 8, 2008 groundbreaking ceremony for the University's new science building. Upon completion, it would be the largest academic building on Susquehanna University's campus. The 75,000-square facility would include 19 teaching and research labs, 30 prep and support spaces, and a greenhouse on the roof.

Phi Beta Sigma is Susquehanna University's first traditionally African-American fraternity. On November 22, 2008 the fraternity house was dedicated.
