In celebration of Susquehanna University's 150th year, the Lore Degenstein Gallery held an exhibition called "Susquehanna University: a 150-Year Retrospective." The University's history was told through photographic images and artifacts. An opening lecture was given by Professor Emeritus of History, Donald D. Housley entitled "Images and Artifacts of the College Culture." A reception followed. The image shown is Selinsgrove Hall in 1863. At that time, the university was known as the Lutheran Missionary Institute.

In August of 2005, Hurricane Katrina, one of the costliest and deadliest hurricanes in history, hit the United States, leaving behind mass destruction. To help aid victims of this catastrophe, brothers of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity asked for donations while standing outside of various local restaurants. Their goal was to raise $2,000.

On October 4, 2008, a time capsule ceremony was held in front of Fisher Hall during Homecoming Weekend. The time capsule was placed behind the cornerstone of the new science building that was currently under construction. The contents of the time capsule were a scientific calculator, photographs of past science buildings on campus and a message from the 2009 biology students. The time capsule will be reopened in 2058.

In March of 2006, the University held the grand opening of Trax, an entertainment venue for students. Free food, soft drinks and water were served and for the over 21 set, beer and wine were served at a one drink per hour limit. Admission and coat check were also free. Students could dance or play pool and relax on the club's patio. This 2006 image shows the exterior of Trax after nightfall.

In 2002, off campus housing on University Avenue included Acts 29, The PEP Team, Presser International House, PLAY, WomenSpeak, America Reads, DEUCE, Alpha Delta Phi, Sigma Kappa, Kappa Delta, Zeta, Tau Alpha, Phi Sigma, Kappa, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Phi Mu Alpha, Sigma Alpha Iota, and the music fraternity and sorority. The newly renovated apartments of Liberty Alley were also available to upperclassmen.

In the fall of 2005, the Volunteer Programs welcomed its new coordinator, Eric Lassahn. Some of his responsibilities included organizing blood drives, holiday food and clothing drives and planning Volunteer Recognition Day. He also developed a volunteer packet to help students organize and plan their volunteer experiences.

In 2002, women's golf became the 23rd varsity sport at Susquehanna University. The sports program now offered 12 women's sports and 11 men's sports.

The Yoga Club offers its members a form of exercise that strengthens the mind, body and soul. Twice a week, the club meets to focus on the "betterment and education of health and stress relief".
