Hurricane Relief Team

In August of 2005, Hurricane Katrina, one of the largest natural disasters in the history of the United Sates, devastated the Gulf Coast. To help victims of the storm, Susquehanna University responded by organizing a Hurricane Relief Team made up of students, faculty and staff. The group, Students Awareness of the Value of the Environment (SAVE), promotes respect for and maintenance of the environment. The club sponsors speakers and its members volunteer at the no-kill shelter Mostly Mutts, as well as the Far Point Stables horse rescue. SAVE's members pose for a picture in the 2007 Lanthorn.
