A photograph of the front view of an ornamental silver gilt casket for a burgess ticket from the Provost, Magistrates and Councilors of the Royal Burgh of Stirling, Scotland, receiving and admitting Andrew Carnegie to the "freedom of an honorary burgess" for his gift of a public library and "his unprecedented benefactions in connection with university education and the institution of public libraries in Scotland". The casket has ornamental decorations, engravings, a scene of a building, the front view of a figure sitting next to a globe of the world that is in a stand.
