A typescript letter from William Nimick Frew to Andrew Carnegie making reference to Mary Copley Thaw's letter of the 26th to Carnegie. Frew states the opinion that Thaw had two ulterior motives in writing the letter: to protect her investment in Western University and for Carnegie to purchase the property owned by her nephew, developer F.F. Nicola (presumably as the site of the new technical institute).
