Photographs of a Dutch-language diploma, dated August 25, 1913, conferring upon Andrew Carnegie the rank of Knight in the Order of Orange Nassau (i.e., Orde van Oranje Nassau), a military and civil order created in the Netherlands in 1892 and letters of correspondence. The accompanying typewritten letters include: a letter to Mr. Barrow asking if Mr. Carnegie wants the enclosed letters showing his rank in the Orde van Oranje Nassau and Legion d'honneur, dated Aug. 5, 1914, from J A P (probably J.A. Poynton, Andrew Carnegie's secretary), a letter from James G. Bailey relating to Mr. Carnegie his "pleasure in enclosing herewith an envelope, just received, containing the documents of the Chancelery relating to the decorations of the Orange Order", a letter from Lloyd Bryce informing Andrew Carnegie that the decoration he last received from Holland was the "Grand Cordon D'Orange Nassau", and a French language letter written to J.A. Poynton informing Mr. and Mrs. Carnegie of his receiving the rank of Commander of the Legion d'honneur, dated Paris, June 2, 1914, with Senat at the top left corner of the letter. A photograph of a Holland Red Cross medal, presented to Mr. Carnegie at Shadowbrook, the Carnegie's summer retreat located in Lenox, Massachusetts. The medal was given for his donation of the Red Cross Hospital. The medal features a metallic Greek cross with a circle surrounding the middle of the cross with the following inscription: Nederlandsche Roode Kruis. There are four lions with crowns in between each arm of the cross. The ribbon is attached to the cross by a decorative metal crown. Caption title.; On cardboard mount: 35 x 26 cm

Photographs of a letter from the president of the Holland Red Cross, Prince Henry of the Netherlands, and certificate of presentation given to Andrew Carnegie. Mr. Carnegie was given this letter of introduction to two individuals who were traveling to Lenox, Massachusetts to present him with the insignia and letter of appointment of the Dutch Red Cross decoration. This appointment was given to him in recognition of his donation for the Red Cross Hospital in the Netherlands. Caption title.; On cardboard mount: 26 x 34 cm
