A signed typescript letter from William Holland to Andrew Carnegie requesting Carnegie's input on the timetable for the installation of the reproduction of Diplodocus carnegii at the British Museum. Holland encloses his June 10th letter to British Museum Director E. Ray Lankester and Lankester's reply of July 1st to provide Carnegie with background information. The main issue affecting the timetable is the availability of all parties involved to attend an installation ceremony. Another factor, is the recent death of John Hatcher, Curator of Paleontology at the Carnegie Museum. In a postscript, Holland refers to additional enclosures including photographs of the Diplodocus reproduction and a copy of a June 14th letter he sent to Lankester.

A signed typescript letter from William Holland to Andrew Carnegie reporting on general Carnegie Museum matters, progress in preparing the Diplodocus carnegii reproduction for the British Museum, and plans to erect a brontosaurus skeleton at the Carnegie Museum. Holland notes that, since the Diplodocus reproduction is scheduled to be completed around July 15th, he has written to the British Museum Director to finalize the specifics of transportation and installation.
