A typescript letter from Samuel Harden Church, Secretary of the Board of Trustees Carnegie Institute, to James Bertram, personal secretary of Andrew Carnegie. In the letter Mr. Church explains to Mr. Bertram that he has asked Pittsburgh Printing Company to forward twenty-five copies of the Founder's day book for 1903 to Mr. Carnegie. Mr. Church goes on to mention that he is going to send out copies to individuals and institutions that were on a revised mailing list that Mr. Bertram sent to him last spring. On letterhead with drawing of the Carnegie Institute.

A typescript letter from William N. Frew, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, to Andrew Carnegie inviting Mr. Carnegie and Mrs. Carnegie to the Founder's Day celebration. He mentions that Mr. and Mrs. Grover Cleveland will be there and Mr. Cleveland will be giving a speech at the celebration. He continues by discussing the ""exhibition"" (presumably the Carnegie International) and mentions Robert W. Allan's participation in the exhibition. Frew reminds Carnegie that he bought one of Mr. Allan's pictures ""All hands on Deck"" last year.
