A typescript letter from President, presumably Samuel Harden Church, president of the Board of Trustees of the Carnegie Institute, to J.A. Poynton, Andrew Carnegie's personal secretary, informing Poynton that the DeVinne Press has sent 500 copies of the Founder's Day book to Andrew Carnegie on June 20, 1914 via the S.S. California that will sail directly to Glasgow, Scotland. Church states that ""this is a slow boat but hope that the books will reach you soon"". At bottom of the page is typed: dictated.
