A handwritten letter from Pittsburgh city organist Caspar P. Koch to Andrew Carnegie asking for Carnegie Institute, Board of Trustees support for the Sunday organ recitals at the North Side Carnegie Music Hall, which, according to Koch, were under fire by citizens who felt that the recitals countervailed the biblical mandate to keep holy the Sabbath.
