A photograph of the front view of a silver casket from the Lord Provost, Magistrates and Councilors of Dundee, Scotland, conferring upon Andrew Carnegie the "freedom of the said City and Royal Burgh of Dundee" in recognition of his gift "in extending the public library of Dundee by the establishment of branch libraries." The silver casket includes numerous decorations, two dragons at the top of the container holding a silver plate decorated with raised silver flowers, the intertwined initials A and C above a scene with buildings, etc. that is in the middle of the casket.
