A photograph of a handwritten scrolled burgess ticket from the Lord Provost, Magistrates and Council of Aberdeen, Scotland, admitting and receiving Andrew Carnegie "as a free burgess and guild brother of the City and Royal Burgh of Aberdeen" in recognition of his contribution to the building of public libraries in Scotland and America. Andrew Carnegie and Mrs, Carnegie both contributed to the building of the Aberdeen Library. The ticket includes a decoration, decorative initials, seal, a ribbon and is signed by the town clerk.
