Librarian, E.H. Anderson writes to thank Andrew Carnegie for $10,000 for the purchase of technical books for the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.

George Clapp, a member of the Carnegie Institutes Board of Trustees, praises Carnegie for his $10,000 contribution to the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh for the acquisition of technical books. E.H. Anderson had asked Clapp to make suggestions as to the most desirable books. Clapp ends his letter admiring the Museum and describing his own particular hobby of conchology.
