Trusts and trustees -- Pennsylvania -- Pittsburgh (Pa.), Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh
Henry Clay Frick writes to Andrew Carnegie on William Frews behalf. Frick states that because Frew had taken over chairmanship of the Board of Trustees of the Carnegie Library Commission of Pittsburgh, and chairmanship of the Building Committee from James B. Scott, he should receive some compensation. With Frews many obligations, he would be unable to work in both positions without some reward. Frick goes on to state that he believes that Frew is better adapted for the position than his predecessor (Scott).
