Two photographs which, shown together, present both sides of two medals of the New York State Chamber of Commerce. The first medal commemorates the opening of the Chamber of Commerce. The "heads" side of second medal features a portrait of Abram Stevens Hewitt, who had been an inventor and an industrialist, as well as Mayor of New York City, a United States Congressman, and a founder and trustee of the Carnegie Institution; the "tails" side features the inscriptions "The Chamber of Commerce of the State of New York" and "Rapid transit."
