A photograph of a Holland Red Cross medal, presented to Mr. Carnegie at Shadowbrook, the Carnegie's summer retreat located in Lenox, Massachusetts. The medal was given for his donation of the Red Cross Hospital. The medal features a metallic Greek cross with a circle surrounding the middle of the cross with the following inscription: Nederlandsche Roode Kruis. There are four lions with crowns in between each arm of the cross. The ribbon is attached to the cross by a decorative metal crown. Caption title.; On cardboard mount: 35 x 26 cm

Photographs of a letter from the president of the Holland Red Cross, Prince Henry of the Netherlands, and certificate of presentation given to Andrew Carnegie. Mr. Carnegie was given this letter of introduction to two individuals who were traveling to Lenox, Massachusetts to present him with the insignia and letter of appointment of the Dutch Red Cross decoration. This appointment was given to him in recognition of his donation for the Red Cross Hospital in the Netherlands. Caption title.; On cardboard mount: 26 x 34 cm
