Contemporary lettering on spine is lost, with the exception of a capital ‘D’ that has been emended by hand to read ‘Day Book’; faint trace of a handwritten ‘VII’ (?) 716 pages. Chronological list of applicants, December 30, 1879 to April 26, 1884. Entries as described for Applicants’ Ledger (Vol. IV) 1869-1871 (Box 1). Cross-referenced by page number within the volume; corresponding index volume is Index 1879-1884 (Box 6). Preservation note: spine almost completely detached; front and back covers beginning to detach, 1879-1884.
