Description

"This house was built on the extreme eastern end of the Mather tract (originally purchased by John Russell) by Isaac Mather in 1806. This was the last part of the William Penn grant of 300 acres to remain in the possession of the Mather family. This picture was taken prior to the widening of Washington Lane in the 1950's." - Alexander Scott
