Notes

July 24, 1982 was a Thursday. The letter was to Frank since P. Benner Wilson mentions the sending of money to him in the 1862-07-29 letter. Mary was P. Benner Wilson’s sister. At the time of this letter, the 2nd PA Cavalry was part of General Cooke’s 1st Reserve Army Corps under General Sturgis and were still camped at Cloud’s Mills near Alexandria, VA. The 2nd PA Cavalry moved out to Warrenton, VA on July 27, 1862.
